Smart text, Read it if you dare [15 Dec 2004|06:06am]
This is something I found on my computer, I dont remember where I found it but its been a while, and i've always thought thats it totally reflected my opinion on society.

And I really think that people should consider reading and trying to understand it.

"Maybe he could make some buisness with his style, maybe if he becomes a rich man when he gets older, and his parents would be proud of him.

Now he has a good job. Disillusioned with friendship and exhausted with all the trends, he decides to quit being a follower and just be himself. Sometimes he meets some friends of his old crew, tuning his Mercedes together with his father; because he paid the car; and married a girl he never loved. But when he is drunken , she usually looked fine. Great, isn´t it?

Does this story sound familiar to you? Come on, we are all seen it happen to others before, and if we´re honest we´ll admit that we´ve experienced it ourselves - the trends, the costumes, the role playing.

But after acting out the part for a while, we realize it´s all just a front and move on to the next mold, only disappointed again and again. Where is that true self we are all searching after? Who we are?

Look around - people are trying to desperately to answer this question trough externals. Trough clothes. Through hairstyles or through black finger nails. But no matter how many times we dye our hair, pierce our ears, change our clothes or our friends, we never really find ourselves simply because we´re looking in the wrong place. Our true identity isn´t based on these superficial images. It´s deeper. So much deeper!
So just try to look deep inside you. Don´t be afraid to ask questions. Share your opinions with others. Cause we will find our souls deep in us. Other people call it realization or other names. The name isn´t important; it´s what you will find. There is a kind of spirituality in all of us. Some are more interested in it and some dislike this topic. But do you never ask yourself questions like: is this right or wrong? Why are we here? Why do I live?

So we are spirit souls, the spark of consciousness that animates and gives life to the body. Just like the driver of a car, the soul is the driver of his hunk of material nature called a body. It´s this mistaken identification with the body that keeps us chasing every new trend, all the while remaining ignorant of the real self that´s tucked inside this machine made of skin, flesh and bones. But we are not these machines , nor will we ever be able to express ourselves by decorating these machines with the latest fashions and hip styles.

The soul is the real self, our true identity."

Wow thats was a pretty good show last night here in Montreal, at l'Inco. Mental and The Wrong Side were awesome!
I had to write it here, I used to review all the shows I was going to. I just dont anymore, I dont know why, but that last show was really great,
I had a lot of fun, even if I was late, and even if Risky Business and DrugxTest didnt played.

Thanks to the guy that organized that show!

Get a sense of humour!

Do not take what I say too seriously, im only talking about objects, not a group of people.
Note that my previous post (about brass knuckles and weapons) was directed toward violent people.

Im sorry if you are violent or if you're friends with violent people, you might be my friend, it doesnt change the fact that friends are friends and opinions are just an option.

KEEP IT POSI! (for real)

There's only one thing I have to say. [24 Nov 2004|02:25am]
SO F*KING HARDCORE, BRO!
Facts:

-Im not a visibly violent person but I strongly believe that if you're going to use a weapon, at least use a grenade or a machinegun!
NOT SOME BRASS KNUCKLES. DONT YOU TRUST YOUR FISTS? LAME

-You bunch of fools, you know nothing about weapons.

-Poor people will never stop to amaze me with their stupidity!

Seriously,
stop fighting and learn how to use your own brain.

Or at least fight bare hands like the alpha male you are!

Keep on cheering up

YO' THINK YOU'RE A BADASS? NOT MORE THAN HIM ANYWAYS.

I was watching some cute pictures on the internet with Eliane and we found out that prairie dogs can be adopted. Apparently they are an endangered specimen due to the fact that people use them to do "KILLING CONTESTS" in the north of Denver. They are sniping them with rifles, flooding their home, stomping them to death, just for the fun of killing.

Quebec? [16 Oct 2004|12:11am]
Wow today at work I was in charge of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I didnt know they were making those! Fun day.

Merci!

Who cares about trend followers?
What have they done so bad?
I dont get why its such a big deal about the people that follows trends or not.

As long as they're honest when they speak,
as long as they are there, with they're own words and ideas, where is the threat?

Why do we always need to create problems when theres nothing to bitch about?
People should get stronger on the social side. Instead of raging against people, just walk away and calm down.

How is that so hard to understand?

Hey everyone, how are your things going?
Come on, give me some news about you.

Im thinking about some game so we can just have fun together on this livejournal thing.

So you're all going to do this:

Leave a comment saying anything, and it has to be a full sentence that counts at least 15 words.

Then I will reply to you and do the same.

HELLO FASHION. [29 Aug 2004|03:31am]
Fashion goes in both ways. I have a lot of friends judging people on their clothes, make up, or hair. Sometimes for some people its even worth hurting those people, for what?

Because they are just different.

Who can tell that someone isnt true because his/her hair is black and that the clothes are not hardcore enough and things like that.
I pisses me off cause someone I know, went at a really "tough" hardcore show. Everyone was talking shit about him, he was the only kid that came dressed like that. During the show, a big guy humiliates him. I didnt see that but I heard people talking about it and I dont know who did that exactly.

I think all those people who talked shit were really immature.

Sometimes what looks to be too "fashionned" to be "true/genuine" is not really more than just really personnal. I think we should not even bother looking at how people dress or do their hair at shows. Though im one of the only people who thinks that way here, I still try to make people understand that being anti-"fashion" or anti-metrosexual doesnt make you better than any "trendy" kid.

If they support the bands and have the courage to face stupid tough hardcore kids who think that they are fags, they should be respected because they are obviously there for the bands and are probably more "real" than a lot of "supposedly" true kids.

You can judge on rating communities but keep your shit out of the shows, dont be assholes, war against physical appreance doesnt pay at all and you cant win shit. Dont ever forget that.

Its more than clothes and hair, just look further than that, especially when you're not on the internet.

Thanks.

"with every cigarette, 7 to 10 minutes is taken off of your life.

some people smoke say a pack a day...

~20 cigarettes in a pack
~1 pack a day (2oo minutes, a little under 3 and a half hours)
~7 packs a week (1400 minutes, a little over a day)
~30 packs a month (60,000 minutes, about a school week)

it doesn't seem like much but when they are older they are going to want that extra three and a half hours to say good bye to thier family"

But smoking is so usual and normal, we all do it! Lets do it too.

That song says everything, I guess.

---

Are you happy with your life?
You make just enough to scrape by
You pay the rent, and your check is spent
Where did last weekend go?
You wasted all your flow and you dont remember where it went

Drinking, smoking cigarettes,
Working but you're still in debt.
Thinking, losing self-esteem.
How can this be happening?

You might have the temporary superficial happiness,
that you buy with money you don't have.
Do you tell yourself, it's just the first time? or maybe the last time?
Which is your circumstance

Life is not a job or a career.
Living is not smoking and drinking beer,
Its a gift to receive, and not to take.
The free thinking choice is yours, yours to make.
